In 1998, Mission Haiti, Inc. - Midwest was formed to organize and
promote ministry involvement from the Midwest US. Partnering with an
already established organization, Mission Haiti, Inc. (Asheville, NC), this
Midwest branch seeks to cultivate partnerships and broaden ministry
capabilities from this region. Started by Dr. Mark Fulton,
DDS and wife Kathy, Mission Haiti, Inc. - Midwest is now governed by a
9-member medical advisory committee, based in Anderson, IN. While we
work primarily in health care, through work camp clinics around the
country, Mission Haiti, Inc. - Midwest also funds and oversees the
operation of an outpatient clinic in Sainthard, Haiti in cooperation with
missionary Phyllis Newby and the leadership of the local church, L'Eglise
de Dieu Reformee (Church of God). This facility includes two operating rooms
and is staffed by 4 Medical Doctors. Another ministry project,
called Operation Rosie, connects children
in need with life-saving surgeries in the US.
Mission Haiti, Inc. - Midwest
primarily provides health care services to Haitians in poverty through direct care work
camp clinics around Haiti. Work camp clinic teams consist of
doctors, dentists, nurses and lay persons and typically spend a week in
Haiti traveling the country providing free clinics. This requires a
large amount of medication to be dispensed, which must come from donations
prior to the trip.
Another feature of the work of
Mission Haiti, Inc - Midwest is providing supplies for the clinic and
affiliated ministries in Haiti. Approximately every 6 months,
Mission Haiti, Inc. - Midwest ships a semi-trailer of supplies to Haiti.
These supplies depend on the most urgent needs of the clinic and the
availability of donations.

changing, we invite you to check the Current Needs
