Thanks to all who were able to come out and help with the trailer packing party.   As things were sorted and packed, there is now plently more room for items for the trailer.   A general guideline of donations needed is listed in our Current Needs section.  This is not an exhaustive list.  If you have any items to donate that you aren't sure about, email mark@missionhaitimidwest.org for details.  

Trip for October
The fall work-camp is now preparing for the trip to Haiti.  The dates are tentatively set for October 10-17, 2008.  Plans are underway for the team, which will include Anderson area work-campers from Madison Park Church of God and Florida Station Church of God.  Donations of Over The Counter medications, vitamins, and hygiene items are being collecting for use in the clinics.  There is also an ongoing need for prescription medication (obtained by medical professionals).  Please keep this team in your prayers as they prepare for a great experience of serving in Haiti.

Plans are being made for the next "phase" of the hospital in Sainthard.  The second floor blueprints have been drafted and will include housing for hospital staff as well as a prosthetics lab.  Members of Sawgrass Community Church have offered their expertise in setting up this one-of-a-kind lab at the hospital in Sainthard, to develop artifical limbs for the disabled.  
The dental clinic continues services at the hospital on contract with Haitian dentist Dr. Wilgar Blanc.  An obstetrician has also joined the staff, providing services two days a week.  As the services expand to meet a growing need in the Arcahaie region of Haiti, your diligent prayers are needed.  If you would be willing to support this ongoing work by a monthly committment, please see the Make a Donation link to download a form for automatic monthly contributions.
